Mount Princeton - 14,200 Feet
At an elevation of 14,200 feet, Mount Princeton is the 19th highest peak in the state of Colorado. Located 3 hours south west of Denver, this prominent mountain summit is part of the Collegiate Peaks in the Swatch Range of the Rocky Mountains. Many of the surrounding mountains in this range are named after prominent universities.
This was my first 14,000 foot mountain summit, known in Colorado as a 14er. Celebrating my 30th birthday, I hiked to the top of Mount Princeton with my dear friend, Levi. It was a class 2 adventure, meaning we hiked a steep incline and scrambled our way to the top (2 Legs Hiking = Class 2).
